CASE I :
Two Digit Numbers
Two multiply any two two digit number follow these steps
- the answer part has three positions
- each one for one digit, except the left most position
- To get the position 1 , vertically multiply the 10s place digits
- To get the position 2, cross multiply the digits and write the sum
- To get the position 3 vertically multiply the unit place digits
Eg : 21 x 32
CASE I I :
Three Digit Numbers
When we multiply any two three digit numbers the answer part will have 5 positions as shown in the figure. Each position is for single digit except the first position.
Eg : 131 x 112.
CASE I I I :
Four Digit Numbers
If ‘n’ is the number of digits in the number, then the number of positions will be
2n-1. Each position is for one digit except the 1st position.
