Eg : 21 x 11

NOTE : Each position is for one digit except the left most.

Multiply three digit number with 11

CASE I V :

Multiply four digit number with 11

Eg :1234  x 11

CASE V :

Multiply three digit number with 111

Eg :123  x 11

CASE VI :

Multiply four digit number with 111

This sutra can be used to find the square of a number which is near the base

If ‘n’ is the number and ‘d’ is the deviation from the base ,

ie , d = n – base, Then

n² = n + d / d²

EKANUNENA PURVENA

Meaning :  By one less than the previous one. We can use this sutra when we multiply the numbers with 9 , 99 , 999, etc..

Eg : 9 x 8

Eg : 99 x 95
